We are located in the little town of Micco, FL right on the Sebastian River in Brevard Cty and you may have seen us on the weather channel last year as we took the brunt of a couple hurricanes. We have been down in FL for 25 years, originally from central IL where we spent the springs dodging tornados. It's always something! I have been creating artwork since I was a kid and for the past decade have been a presence in the online graphics community with my personal site www.ladysara.org providing graphics and other add-ons for the graphic program Paint Shop Pro which I have been a beta tester for several years. I have been doing pencil portraits on a commission basis for the last 4 years and in between working on those things, I cartooned on the side to relax the brain. This site is in the process of being completely overhauled so it is just parked at the moment. From those cartoons and from my 3D work in poser, I moved to clay and coloured pencil art. I discovered clay after one of the hurricanes when I was at the library digging around for photos of flowers to get ideas for one of my coloured pencil card lines. I bought some clay and created some roses. I was hooked. Most of my work comes from original sketches and from renditions of 3D work already done in graphic form. I find it very satisfying to see my creations come to life, so to speak and find that the more I do them, the more I enjoy working with the medium. Most of my pieces are a one of a kind piece and are dated and signed. Some of my pieces I offer a certificate of authenticity with them. I use a combination of polymer clays and love the large pallet of Fimo. I am always trying new techniques and have boxes of experiments gone wrong. I varnish all my pieces with either a satin or a high gloss finish and each piece is either attached at baking with liquid clay or after baking with E6000 or Goop for Crafts. My latest creations are in the form of Children's ClipOn Earrings and I have set up my own website for them. There are many items there that will never make it over to ebay so if you are looking for fun clipon earrings, stop by www.cliponearringsboutique.com for a HUGE selection of earrings. |
We named the company after our Bearded Collie, Blu Morning and he has been sculpted into our business card holder and his photo is on several of the greeting cards that I sell at the shows. We traveled up and down the Treasure Coast in FL going to several shows but due to some silly health issues, I had to retire from that venue. We are members of the National Polymer Clay Guild. My better half is a hot rod enthusiast and builds hot rods in his spare time. We currently have a 32 Ford Coupe and a Sedan Delivery that are in various stages of completion. He got me involved in ebay as he uses it to purchase a lot of his car parts. I sold my artwork on ebay years ago and just got distracted after awhile and never went back to it until 2004. You can read our whole story on our business website at www.bluemorningexpressions.com I hope you enjoy my store, I love to create and to express my sense of humour as well as provide great handcrafted unique gift ideas for people. If you would like to be on our snail mailing list, then simply email me through ebay and I will make sure that you get your monthly copy of the Blu Print and make sure that you get first dibs on all the products before they come out at the show and the website. Have fun shopping and most of all, I hope that my creations bring a smile to your face. Thanks! Julie |
